History
The Anabaptist Climate Collaborative (ACC) was founded as the Center for Sustainable Climate Solutions (CSCS) in 2016. CSCS’s initial goals of building networks, developing leaders, and inspiring action fostered the establishment of a wide variety of programs.
In 2022, CSCS began the process of reinventing itself under a new name: Anabaptist Climate Collaborative. This process emerged from a combined desire to incorporate as an independent 501(c)(3) organization and to revitalize our programming with what we’d learned from our first six years of work.
Anabaptist Climate Collaborative recognizes climate change as one of the most crucial moral challenges of our time, and works toward climate justice through a focus on these targeted strategies:
Developing emerging leaders who act as catalysts for larger scale changes,
Empowering diverse voices of those most impacted by climate change, and
Bringing together individuals and organizations into partnerships that more effectively address climate change.
Organizational Principles
We seek to…
Embody Anabaptist perspectives in all our work
Use a systems approach to catalyzing change
Equip others to engage their capacities for action
Build community wherever and with whomever we connect
