Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (AMBS)
At Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary, we embrace caring for creation as part of Jesus’ call to discipleship. We regard environmental stewardship as an essential facet of our commitment to peace, justice, and nonviolence. We offer an Environmental Sustainability Leadership concentration in two of our master’s programs, as well as various classes that help students link their ecological context with practices like reading the Bible in community, envisioning a future for church, and incorporating sustainability into daily living. Additionally, creation care is woven into the management of our facilities and grounds through solar arrays, our LEED-certified library, a student-run garden with local produce for our community, six acres restored to native prairie, and more. We are the convening institution of Rooted and Grounded: A Conference on Land and Christian Discipleship, which has been creating a space for people from the broader Anabaptist community to connect around issues of environmental concern. AMBS is located in Elkhart, Indiana, on ancestral land of the Potawatomi and Miami peoples. Learn more: ambs.edu
